Virginia Tech Crew would like to thank all the parents that came out to the 2004 Parents Weekend. Your support helps our team continue to grow and become successful.
Parents Weekend is an important event held annually by Virginia Tech Crew. We want to make sure that the parents of rowers on the team get a full understanding of our organization. The weekend consists of events to bring parents and their rowers closer together.
We typically go for a morning row with the parents, to give a small taste of what our rowers do on a daily basis. Parents are given some basic instruction by our highly acclaimed coaches, and then get to experience rowing out on the water, as our rowers do every day. The row is meant to be a learning opportunity, not a full workout, and all of the parents are encouraged to join.
Our other main activity for the weekend includes a banquet, with presentations by all the teams, as well as a slide show and team presentations to review our year. The parents and rowers will get to enjoy a synopsis of the past months, highlighting our accomplishments.
Parents will receive a letter detailing the information about Parents Weekend as it approaches.
